Clean Harbors Facility Class A Driver in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Clean Harbors in Chattanooga, TN is currently seeking a Class A Driver. As a Class A Driver for our branch in Chattanooga. Plant driving as well as drum processing will be a requirement for this role.

Shift: Day Shift; OT and weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;

  • Operates tractor trailer units and other vehicles;

  • Collects loads and transports them;

  • Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units;

  • Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations;

  • Conducts pre-trip inspections and monitor equipment for needed repairs, keeping reports, turning in inspections daily;

  • Maintains daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports;

  • Plant and drum processing, with some warehouse work required;

  • All other duties as necessary.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Class A CDL required;

  • Tanker endorsement preferred;

  • Hazmat endorsement preferred;

  • No auto restriction on CDL- need to be able to operate a manual also;

  • 1+ years of driving experience required;

  • Basic computer knowledge;

  • Work well in a team environment;

  • Ability to lift, stoop, bend, reach, squat for short periods of time.
