Clean Harbors Facility Operations Manager I in El Dorado, Arkansas

We are seeking a self-motivated Facilities Operations Manager I for El Dorado, AR with high integrity and who leads by example. Will be Responsible for management of warehouse operations such as drum pumping, drum receiving, drum shipping, inventory, non-hazardous shredder operations, truck offloading/loading in compliance with DOT segregation and other warehousing requirements such as tracking, scanning, routing, and management of waste.

  • Oversee and manage four different areas within the warehouse.

  • Will be Responsible for management operations such as drum pumping, drum receiving, drum shipping, inventory, non-hazardous shredder operations, truck offloading/loading in compliance with DOT segregation and other warehousing requirements such as tracking, scanning, routing, and management of waste.

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely production and the assignment of shared resources

  • Work in conjunction with the General Manager on personnel functions including, but not limited to employee development, hiring, and terminating.

  • Work closely with the General Manager continuously develop and enhance the facilities throughput and operation by analysis and review of profitability for the facility.

  • Ensure employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) through employee accountability and determining proper PPE selection.

  • Ensure, understand, and take ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards.

  • Write Safe Work Permits (LOTO, HOTWORK etc.)

  • Develop daily production goals for multiple groups and ensure execution.

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • HS Diploma or equivalent

  • Associate degree or higher in chemistry or biology preferred

  • 5+ leadership experience in an industrial or plant environment preferred

  • 1+ year in a production driven environment an asset

  • Experience managing union employees a plus!

  • Mechanically inclined

  • Understanding of tanker transfers

  • Organized self-starter who can take initiative, follow direction and lead by example

  • Must be able to work independently as well as cross functionally with teams internally and externally

  • Must be able to complete DOT and HAZWOPER training

  • Computer literate

  • MS Office Suite – Excel, Word

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
